Tekirova lies beyond Kemer, at the point where the resort strip thins and pine forest reaches the sea. The drive follows the same cliff road as the Kemer transfer and then carries on for another twenty minutes.
The timing here is remarkably tight. Our recorded runs sit between 70 and 78 minutes with almost no variation in distance, because the traffic that slows the Kemer route builds mostly in Antalya at the start rather than along the coast.
Phaselis, the ancient harbour town with three bays and a Roman aqueduct, sits a few minutes north of Tekirova. Çıralı and the Chimaera flames are a further stretch south, on the far side of the Olympos valley.
Hotels here are large and set in the forest, often with their own beach. The access roads leave the main highway at marked turnings, so the hotel name is what the driver needs.
