Two airports serve Cappadocia. Kayseri has the wider choice of flights and sits 78 km from Göreme; Nevşehir is closer at around 45 km but handles far fewer arrivals. Most guests end up at Kayseri, which is the route measured here.
The drive crosses open plateau on a good road, so the time holds steady in winter as well as summer. Snow slows it occasionally between January and March, rarely by more than fifteen minutes.
One detail worth planning around: balloon flights lift before sunrise and hotels expect you the evening before. If your flight lands late, tell us the balloon date when you book and we will time the pickup so you are not cutting it fine.
