Alaçatı lies near the tip of the Çeşme peninsula, 88 km west of İzmir Airport. Despite the distance our median is 1 hour 3 minutes, because almost the entire route is motorway. Kilometre for kilometre this is one of the quickest transfers we run.
The recorded times sit between 59 and 69 minutes. What moves them is the İzmir ring at the start rather than anything on the peninsula.
The old village is the reason most people come: stone houses, the windmills on the ridge, and streets narrow enough that vehicles stop at the edge rather than at the door. Give the hotel name at booking and the driver picks the right entrance; many of the boutique hotels here sit on lanes that look identical from the main street.
The windsurf bays are three to four kilometres south of the village and Çeşme town another ten minutes west. Both fall in nearby price bands, so book by the address rather than by the resort name.
